About Doug
My name is Doug Silverman and I am a Senior Mortgage Consultant
with New Penn Financial. I counsel individuals and families in all
facets of mortgage lending. This includes refinancing to a
lower rate or payment, getting cash to pay-off debts, purchasing a
new home or paying off the home quickly. I am passionate about
helping my customers achieve their goals and dreams. I have
been in the real estate finance business now for about 9 years. My
experience, customer service and knowledge allow me to create
win-win scenarios for my customers. I look forward to earning your
trust and your business.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from York College of
Pennsylvania.
I started my professional career with Centex Home Equity, a
leading sub-prime lender, back in 2002 as a relationship manager. I
have also been a commercial mortgage consultant for Interbay
Funding before starting my own mortgage company, The Grindstone
Group, LLC, in 2008. Each of these opportunities allowed me to help
homeowners, business owners and investors obtain the real estate
financing they needed.
When I am not helping my clients, I enjoy spending time with my
wife, daughter and newborn son.
